»Das Kranzbach« Hotel & Wellness-Refugium, Krün, Bavaria

An English Country House in the middle of the Bavarian Alps - originally built in 1913 for an English aristocrat, Miss Mary Isabel Portman.  The Edinger private foundation, bought the 13-acre, nature reserve area in 2003 from the Evangelical Church in Germany. The listed main house was renovated and expanded with two garden wings and a Spa. In 2007 the hotel was opened. The strategy corresponds to a specialized health and wellness hotel in the 5-star category. The Hotel offers over 130 rooms, employs about 90 people - including 15 in the wellness and therapy center. The hotel is open year round and is exclusively for private guests. After three years of start-up period the hotel reached an annual occupancy of 80%.

The realignment of the whole corporate concept and strategy, the control of the planning processes, the implementation of the rebuilding and expansion, the marketing concept and the organization of the current management have been achieved by the Edinger Tourism Consultancy under one roof.
The new buildings were designed by the architects David Edinger, Thomas Fischbach, Heinz Pedrini and Martin Aufschnaiter in 15 months.

The interior design of the listed "English Castle" comes from Studioilse, London.

The "Meditation House" – surrounded by it's own forest – was designed by the Architect Kengo Kuma from Tokyo (local architect Studio Lois, Innsbruck).
